I’m a creative director of design with a career spanning brand refreshes and entertainment marketing campaigns for streamers, studios, and television networks. I have also collaborated directly with filmmakers, museums, and executives at major global brands in gaming, food and beverage, and construction.
My work has included developing corporate identities, rebranding networks, designing main titles, and creating 360° marketing campaigns across theatrical trailers, digital content, outdoor, and live events. Along the way, projects have taken me from Los Angeles to New York to Europe and beyond.
I’ve had the privilege of building and managing design departments at creative agencies such as Seismic Productions, mOcean, and Pittard Sullivan, as well as through my own studio, Jon Converse Design. I’m hands-on in every role—sometimes working independently, but more often building teams that scale to the needs of each project.
I specialize in combining timeless marketing principles with the latest software, design methodologies, and AI to accelerate research, conceptual development and design execution. I build and lead teams using proprietary workflows designed for agility—ensuring we not only deliver high-impact results but also enjoy the creative process.
While every project is meaningful, the most memorable ones challenge our comfort zones and push creative boundaries in unexpected ways. Highlights include designing the opening titles for the Miley Cyrus concert film, rebranding six public television stations in Turkey, creating documentary opens for The Annenberg Center for Photography, and leading pro bono design efforts for Los Angles non-profits.
I was introduced to the power of brands at an early age. People would often comment “Cool name. Do you own the company?” or “Can you get me a pair of Chuck Taylors?” Despite my great-great-grandfather founding the Converse Rubber Company, I have no connection to the Converse brand of today.
Along with blue jeans and t-shirts the Chuck Taylor shoe may be one of the recognizable, timeless brands across the world...a symbol for non-conformists.
My logo honors this legacy. The star is reimagined as a compass rose pointing to my name, with a unique angle, stitching pattern and typography that reflect my personal design vision.
